LabTech SD2000 Sub-Boiling Distillation System

The SD2000 Sub-Boiling Distillation System produces ultrapure acids based on the principle of sub-boiling distillation. Operating at temperatures below the boiling point, the system utilizes radiation heating to generate reagent vapors from the liquid surface. These vapors are then condensed and collected, yielding high-purity acids for ultra-trace analytical applications.

Key Features

With the widespread adoption of ICP-MS and other trace/ultra-trace detection techniques, it has become evident that reagent impurities—leading to elevated blank values—have become a limiting factor for their practical application. Impure blank reagents are a major source of interference in analytical results. Among various methods for preparing high-purity acids, sub-boiling distillation stands out as an effective and practical purification technology.
