Did AOL get rid of Warning?
Remember those days when people first got AOL instant messenger? It was such a novelty adding new buddies and then chatting away.
Then remember those days when people found out about Warning? And remember warning back and forth? Ever remember getting a warning level above 100%?
Remember spoofing Screen names so that you could sneak warn people?
Well I hadn't been warned or hadn't seen anybody on my buddy list with a warning. So I decided to try and warn a few people. Didnt work. Instead I got this:
(21:56:37) Unable to send message: Request denied
Maybe AOL has gotten rid of this feature. While its entertainment value was great, I'll never quite figure out if it actually served a real purpose.
On a side note, I haven't seen AOL ad's in a while. I'll use this as a second to plug GAIM as an open source alternative to AOL's ad battered client. It works just like AOL instant messenger, you can talk to all your buddies on AIM, but you don't have ads and you get tabbed windows.

I'm using Gaim, and I tried to Warn a user whose computer has an AIM virus, and I got the same message. However, I did notice a note "Warning level: 8%" on his account. So some people can warn.

yea i wrote an aim bot and i tried to make it where it would wann me and it didnt work and i got the error
AimBot: Error 13: Your message could not be sent for the following reason: Request denied
So i tried warning it and got
Warning of 'cartercolecombot' is not allowed
i think your right warnign is gone
