Cures for hard drive failure

So a while back, I posted that I had run into several bad laptop Hard drives over the years.

One of the tricks that I gleaned from the Dell forums was to put the Hard disk in the freezer for a while. Actually this seemed to work. I think Bernie was able to recover his entire drive.

However, before blindly telling people to pop bad drives into the freezer, I guess you should qualify the statement with better instructions :
