Free PS2
Went to McDonalds in honor of our nations birthday on the fourth and got a code on the side of a Big Mac. Looks like instead of those instant win tickets, McDonalds is opting for an online code entry game. This means instead of the tickets having any value, whether you win or not is dependent on when you enter in your valid code. I guess I entered my code in at the right time because I scored a free PS2. The cool thing is that they tell you right away that you won, the part that sucks is filling out a bunch of forms and waiting 6-8 weeks.
The prizes are as follows:
1 of 5,000 PSP Units
1 of 6,750 PS2 Units
1 0f 5,000 PSP Games (Ape Escape: On the Loose, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee, Twisted Metal: Head On, or Wipeout Pure)
1 of 15,000 PS2 Games (Gran Turismo 4, World Tour Soccer 2006, or Rachet And Clank: Up Your Arsenal)
1 of 20,000 PS2 Greatest Hits Games (ATV Offroad Fury 2, Jak 2, or Rachet And Clank: Going Commando)
Total prizes: 51,750
Total VALUE of prizes: $3,450,350
ODDS of Winning: The products are seeded by TIMES, not numbers. So about 51% of the "winning Times" are from 12:00PM EST to 7:59:59PM EST at random. Basically put, your code doesn't matter. What time you put the code in matters. If you put your code in first at any of the random "winning times", you could win. The odds of winning are 1:95,404. Hey, that's what the promotional posters say. Anyhow, you must be over the age of 13, and you will be issued an IRS 1099 Tax Form in January for the ARV (Approximate Retail Value) of the prize. So, yes, you do have to claim it on your taxes.

A Neopets PSP game will be coming out this Fall for the PSP owners who won't be spending their time loading up Liberty City.
