Ugly Kids
In the vein of other useful research, Canadian researchers have found that ugly children get treated worse by their parents. I might see how this would work out in the evolutionary standpoint... but what about that adage saying that ugly kids grow up to be good-looking and good-looking kids grow up to be ugly?
Perhaps that's just to make people feel better...

No. I don't think so. You see my friend Accee is soo pretty but she says her mom treats her like shit so it might now be 100% true.
