Ashlee shouldn't have been booed. Was she booed because of Saturday night live? If it is.........she had a very good reason why she had to lip sing.

Those people at the Orange Bowl are sick human beings. Not only did they boo her, which NO ONE deserves, no matter how bad you may be, but they were also throwing drinks and other things at the dancers. Everyone who 'booed' her should be ashamed of themselves, and they should grow up and move on!

You can't tell a stadium full of unhappy spectators to not boo. They were obviously upset over a bad performance.

This isn't some kind of elementary school talent show where "everyone has talent" and "every should be applauded for effort". Although because Ashlee does Lip Sync it doesn't take much talent or effort.

At least we can laugh at Jessica and her sham of a marriage on Newlyweds. Ashleeeeeeee's 'reality' 'tv show' focuses on her pathetic attempt to claw the money out of the paws of impressionable 12 year old girls.

And to top off my rant, I should point out that it's no surprise that she got booed; she was playing for a bunch of football-lovin' rednecks who would sooner kill their children in the name of God than listen to music aimed at preteens.

It's no question that Ashlee Simpson does not have a good voice, let's be honest. Part of her performance is singing, hate to say it. It is possible that she is a good performer otherwise, but if she's singing at a half-time show one would expect her to have a good voice as part of the performace. So not only was her voice terrible, but the fans hated the performance in general. Therefore, she deserved to be booed. Why should the public pretend they like a performance when they don't? That makes absolutely no sense. Think of that situation in a different context. If we just accepted things that politicians did without any public outcry just because they are in the "public eye" we would be much worse off as a nation. Plus, the music industry is sustained by selling an image to customers, and the customers obviously don't like Ashlee.

The only thing funnier than Ashlee's "performance" is that we all take the time to say how much we hate her!! =) But to Jeff who thinks that all football fans are "rednecks who would sooner kill their children in the name of God than listen to music aimed at preteens": maybe you should back off the stereotyping or go back to being an Ashleeeeee fan! It's not really the fact that Ashlee Simpson lip synced her SNL gig. All the greatest pop singers have done it, like Madonna, Celine Dion, etc. Even someone with a beautiful voice can't be expected to belt out tunes all the time. It should be kept in mind that they are usually on tour for months, and singing can really rough up your vocal chords. Though you should be able to sing MOST of the time. THAT'S Ashlee's problem. She needs some singing lessons on how to control her voice and not rely on the computer altering her voice to the music.

She's good on album, but she's not a live performer and she needs to realize this and either get out of the business or fix the problem.
