Free your iTunes

I know several of you have already asked me about this. You just got an iPod for Christmas, you started using iTunes, but now you're annoyed because you paid for a song that will only play in iTunes or your iPod.

Well now you can use Hymn, which is short for Hear Your Music aNywhere. This little program which should theoretically run on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux will take your little file and strip it of its encryption that Apple uses to DRM your file. This means, you should be able to play your stripped file on any device or application that supports AAC.

Now you'll be able to exercise your right to do whatever you want with the music you purchased including convert to mp3, backup, and play on any device.

Download the Java version here
