But do I really need it?

So, I'm pretty excited about my new phone coming in from Verizon Wireless. Previously I hated all cameraphones because they looked like larger than average phones with a camera added as an afterthought. After my current phone broke, I was confronted by a wall of phones that seem to be FCC mandated to incorporate a cameraphone. To me, a poor quality camera and phone go together like lamb and tunafish, but seeing as I had no choice, I had to make the jump.

I was actually getting pretty excited about my phone getting to me, until I read this article. The PH-S5000V and PH-K1000V from Pantech & Curitel puts to shame any phone that we'll see in the United States for the next 10 years. It incorporates 1 gig of memory, an mp3 player, an FM Radio, TV tuner, 3 megapixel camera. And the ability to record camcorder videos and TV. This phone almost makes me want to move to Korea.

Why are we so far behind?
