Smell-o-vision

Looks like Jacob Gaffney at the wine spectator is really looking forward to having smells delivered from his computer. He posted an article back in 2000 about a company named digiscents. Digiscents promised to deliver any scent possible by using a system of about 100 smell tanks. I can't imagine that really working, and I imagine that being why we don't have smell tanks on our desks now.

Now in 2004, Jacob Gaffney has posted again about a new device called the Olfacom that is trying to do the same thing. The Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB), and France Télécom have been working on. But as we all know if it's French it can't smell very good.

I for one could care less about being able to have smells delivered to my computer. In fact I would consider it more of an annoyance. Imagine if you got a virus on your computer that took over your smell box, or what would spam mail smell like?

How many healthy and wealthy beggars with muscle power will try to conquer the patent law of inventions,

Digiscents duped many claiming digital smells without a patent, now many more trying to do the same ,were they sleeping since Helligs patent and scratch and sniff.

Now I have got a clear patent on the product as well as the process on digitally coded smells .

USA patent number 6152829.

These multinationals just want to show muscle rule in patenting regime with the back up of attorneys and power to communicate via media, shameful.

Any questions ,feel free to ask.

Hey Sandeep, That's very interesting, can you tell us more about your Patent, it's applications, and the process you have gone through in developing your product?

Maybe you'd like to schedule and interview?

Hello Bryant
The details of the patent can be seen at www.uspto.gov in the patent search kindly type the patent number 6152829 and click ,you will find all the details on this invention including the area of applications,
Presently I am developing a prototype with paid support from a company in UK, it will take 8 to 10 weeks,
Universal problem with all the individual inventors is finance, how good may be the invention without money it cannot be promoted,
I live in India where Venture capital is not available, taking this advantage cheats not only duped some financers but also brought bad name for this very simple invention and crated doubts worldover on the workability of this invention which has brought virtual reality closer to reality.
My previous invention is USA patent number 5606495 (sensor based release of fresh air as and when required)

My direct phone is 0091-9811046182,can be contacted any time.
Thanks for encouragement.
