One Word: Hippies
this article is great eveyone should read! it makes great points about how hippies dont do science and dont have good facts. There is no proof Global Warming exists! Yet sadly bad science and hippies dominate...
and get this, the article stems from a hippie global warming movie due out in may... sadly the movie produced more CO2 than it is likely to solve...

OK, that movie does look stupid, however that article doesn't make any good points against global warming. Nearly every serious scientist beleives that globabl warming is an important phenomenon, and the only question is how much of an effect it is going to have on the future's climate.
Gee, who to beleive, John Houghton, a former member of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or the scientologists at the same network that brought you "When animals attack" and "Joe Millionaire".

First of all, the scientists who are predicting global warming of climate changing proportions are using computer modeling to predict how the earth's climate will be in hundreds of years in the future. As a computer scientist I cringe when people take models they generated in a program and try and pass it off as fact. When you make a computer program it is extremely biased. From the selection of variables to the determination of algorithms, trying to model the entire environment hundreds of years into the future is going to be wildly off.
Second, the global warming people often cite statistical data that shows that the earth has warming by tenths of a degree over the past hundreds of years. A question I always had was how do we know how accurate thermometers were hundreds of years ago. I highly doubt that they were as accurate as they are now. Also with any person who has taken statistics will tell you, just because the temperature has gone up and human C02 production has gone up doesn't mean that the C02 has caused the increase in temperature.
There is a lot of money and political interest in funding projects and products that are supposed to "cure global warming" and I don't think it's that far fetched to think that these scientists that are using their "computer models" and "statistics" to push their own agenda.
And to clarify for you jumpy tree-huggers, I'm not denying that global warming may be happening, I'm just stating that it is possible that it may not be happening and that I find it really annoying when you all get too excited on this "threat" and start passing off your theories as fact. Also quit doing stupid stuff like burning Hummers and homes. it's just stupid.
And Noah, fox news isn't the only news source that has questioned global warming, Over the past year I think i've seen almost every major news source carry some sort of news on how global warming isn't for sure. You can find them on google.
